about me

Hi,
I’m Sean. I use this name as a short form of Sebastian.
Born in 1989,
and I have been consciously “photographing” since 2014.
However, photography has always played a certain role in my life.
At the age of 4, I was allowed to visit my grandfather in the darkroom for the first time.

Most of the time I take pictures in nature and of the small things in the world that might not be immediately noticeable, or, to quote photographer Robert Bresson:

“Make visible what, without you, might never have been seen.”

I would describe my photography something like this: I remain deliberately unskilled, I consciously break all the rules, the golden ratio splits my images in half, and the exposure triangle is skillfully ignored.

The beauty of a photograph is always subjective. I take photos according to my own taste, and anyone who shares that taste will like my images. At this point, I would like to quote another great photographer of history, Ansel Adams:

“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
